As of the release of “Celebrate,” TWICE is nearing the seventh year as a group. Most K-Pop groups have initial contracts with their entertainment agencies that last seven years. After the seven years is completed, a group can either choose to renew their contracts with their agency, or they disband, or members decide to part ways. Because the latter is quite common, K-Pop culture has conned this disbandment of groups after seven years the “seven-year curse” and K-Pop fans become fearful when their favourite group reaches the seventh year in their career because of the uncertanties about the group’s future.
Luckily for TWICE’s fans, ONCE, it was announced by Ilgan Sports on July 12, 2022, that all nine members of TWICE had renewed their contracts with their agency, JYP Entertainment. In their statement, they added:

In the K-pop industry, girl groups tend to—unfortunately—have short careers. Most are lucky to reach seven years of activity and break the “seven-year curse” associated with K-pop contracts, continuing their careers as groups while also engaging in various solo activities. One such girl group to break this curse is TWICE, who will be celebrating their 9th anniversary as a group this October.
Since April 2023, TWICE have embarked on the Ready to Be World Tour; so far, the tour has amassed 49 shows across Asia, North and South America, Oceania, and Europe. TWICE have recorded a number of accolades with the Ready to Be World Tour; according to Olivia Munson of USA Today, TWICE are the first K-pop girl group to headline (and sell out) SoFi Stadium and MetLife Stadium. Also, in July 2024, they will become the first foreign girl group and second K-pop group (after TVXQ in 2013) to headline Nissan Stadium in Japan.
